It’s Gonna Be Okay, America. Neil Diamond Is Singing a Coronavirus Song [VIDEO]

One of the few highlights of the Wuhan (got you all in check) virus panic is all the musicians at home with nothing to do. I said musicians, NOT ACTORS. Everyone’s tours have been canceled, and many singers and bands are livestreaming mini-concerts to help pass the time. If you’re a cat like me and music is your lifeblood, it’s a good time to be alive. But the highlight for me so far is Neil Diamond. Neil had to stop touring due to health reasons. But that doesn’t mean he stopped loving us, and he took the time to remind us how much.

Hands
Washing hands
Reaching out
Don’t touch me
I won’t touch you
Sweet Caroline

BAH BAH BAH!

Good times never seemed so good

SO GOOD! SO GOOD! SO GOOD!

I’ve been inclined

BAH BAH BAH!

To believe they never would

OK, so my man only changed three sentences. Probably because of his grandchildren (or great-grandchildren) pointing out the social media meme, after explaining what a social media meme is. It doesn’t matter, because it’s Neil F’n Diamond. To paraphrase the man himself, he believes in happy endings. And if Neil Diamond has anything to do with it, this pandemic is going to have a happy ending.

Thank you, Neil Diamond, for turning on America’s heartlight in these trying and difficult times.
